Joining UA-AMSA is a two-step process which can be done independently of one another, but you MUST do both to be considered an actual AMSA member to put your membership on a resume or application.
What if I cannot make it to the meetings due to a class conflict?
There is an alternative membership option for those who have a class conflict. You will be considered an active AMSA member if you complete 8 events.
What are the requirements to be an active member?
You must join local and national UA-AMSA and complete the number of events detailed below.
Regular Member
- Attend 10 meetings this semester
- Attend 5 events this semester

Step 1: Pay Local Fee at one of our meetings: $20 for the year
*Note: Our first meeting of the year will be held in the South Grand Ballroom of the Student Union, and we’ll give you our NEW Fall Shirt for FREE if you pay then!
Step 2: Join our LISTSERV which will send you our email notifications about events and meetings.

JOINING NATIONAL UA-AMSA
Step 1: Pay the one-time national fee of $75 by becoming a national premedical member.
The $75 covers 5 years worth of undergraduate study.
